The Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and VirtaMed have signed a two-year collaboration agreement making VirtaMed the preferred and exclusive partner for Virtual Reality Simulation training. Pour déterminer la meilleure approche en arthroscopie, le Collège Français des Chirurgiens Orthopédiques et Traumatologues (CFCOT) mène une étude nationale sur les méthodes de formation en arthroscopie, en collaboration avec la Société Francophone d’Arthroscopie (SFA) et la sociéte VirtaMed. Since 1 November 2017, every surgical resident in France is supposed to get training on a simulator. To determine the best approach for arthroscopy, the French College of Orthopedic Surgery (CFCOT) is conducting a nationwide study in arthroscopic training methods in collaboration with the Francophone Society of Arthroscopy (SFA) and VirtaMed. Pedowitz in his recent paper published in the Journal of Medical Education and Training. Transitioning from centuries old and thoroughly tried training methods is not an easy task, but it is time to move away from the 'see one, do onw' approach towards proficiency-based education.
