LaparoS™ General Surgery
Start by positioning your patient, reverse Trendelenburg or supine, and place Active Trocars™ for your scope and instruments. Stand side-by-side with a colleague for team training, or train in stand-alone mode.
Inserting the laparoscope allows you to examine the entire insufflated peritoneal cavity as you introduce more trocars and instruments. Use a combination of blunt dissection and electrosurgical instruments, and feel tissue feedback individual to each organ.
Condensed training cases focus on specific skills and adverse events, allowing residents to focus on repeating and mastering each skill individually. Improve ambidextrous and non-dominant hand skills using rare Situs inversus totalis patient cases. Choose which anatomical variations you encounter to avoid surprises in the OR.

Start by moving your patient into the Trendelenburg position and place Active Trocars™ for your scope and instruments. Stand side-by-side with a colleague for team training, or train in stand-alone mode.
Residents progress through training cases for diagnostic laparoscopy, anatomy identification, clipping and cutting, and more training cases derived from highly realistic scenarios including Hysterectomy, Tubal Sterilization, Ovarian Cystectomy, Salpingectomy, Adnexectomy, and Salpingotomy for management of ectopic pregnancies.

Our T&E team is here to help you get the most out of your simulator. In addition to introductory sessions, the T&E team offers in-depth training in a variety of areas and in multiple languages (English, German, French, Italian and Chinese). The T&E team can organize trainings that are as diverse as our customers, catering to groups of all sizes and interests. Most studies demonstrated, that training on a virtual reality based arthroscopy simulator leads to an improvement of technical skills in orthopaedic surgery. However, how long and what kind of training is optimal for young residents is unknown. After the introduction of simulators in urology, education in urology has evolved significantly. Specially in endourology, development of Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) skills are shifted from “direct on patient” to simulator based learning. we evaluated the development of TURP procedure skills based on virtual reality simulator (VirtaMed | UroSim™) and assessment of skills based on Global Rating Scale (GRS) evaluation system.AANA Exclusive Partnership
The Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and VirtaMed have signed a two-year collaboration agreement making VirtaMed the preferred and exclusive partner for Virtual Reality Simulation training. ANNA and VirtaMed will work together to advance and improve the training of arthroscopic surgery skills and standards for proficiency-based training curricula by leveraging the latest virtual reality simulation technology and ANNA’s expertise in Arthroscopic Surgery education.
SFA and CFCOT Collaboration
Since 1 November 2017, every surgical resident in France is supposed to get training on a simulator. To determine the best approach for arthroscopy, the French College of Orthopedic Surgery (CFCOT) is conducting a nationwide study in arthroscopic training methods in collaboration with the Francophone Society of Arthroscopy (SFA) and VirtaMed. The second data set will be collected during a tour to several University Hospitals, concluding at the Western Orthopedic Society (SOO) Congress in Rennes on 28–30 June, 2018.

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of reproductive medicine. The Society accomplishes its mission through the pursuit of excellence in education and research and through advocacy on behalf of patients, physicians, and affiliated health care providers. The Society is committed to facilitating and sponsoring educational activities for the lay public and continuing medical education activities for professionals who are engaged in the practice of and research in reproductive medicine. The ASRM Embryo Transfer Simulator (ETSim) provides physicians the opportunity to practice simulated transfers with varying degrees of difficulty in a safe, risk-free environment and with unlimited repetitions. In conjunction with the Guide to Learning Embryo Transfer, the ETSim is a tool that significantly augments current physician training using a structured simulation-based method to learn basic embryo transfer techniques and characteristics of an ideal transfer.
