ArthroS™ Shoulder

More than 40 cases from basic diagnostic arthroscopy to the most advanced rotator cuff repair techniques

About the module

The shoulder module supports both beach chair and lateral decubitus positions, and realistic joint movements, just like in the operating room. An anatomical shoulder model allows for a realistic palpation of landmarks, and movements such as abduction, adduction, flexion, traction, and rotation. The module also allows a free choice of portals to access the shoulder joint.

Relevant shoulder arthroscopy training

From basic skills and guided diagnostic arthroscopy to therapeutics

The ArthroS™ Shoulder provides guided, realistic training with integrated teaching slides to help trainees master essential arthroscopic skills. It enables practice in camera navigation, visualization of key anatomical structures, and triangulation in both beach chair and lateral decubitus positions. Through diverse patient cases with varying difficulty, users can perform complete diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including loose body removal, subacromial debridement, and decompression, while refining instrument control and minimizing unnecessary movement and cartilage contact for a professional, efficient arthroscopy experience.

Rotator cuff repair module

The Rotator Cuff Repair module trains trainees in performing single-row and double-row repairs while navigating the 3D shoulder anatomy and recognizing key landmarks. It starts with Discover cases focused on handling the Multihandle and identifying tear patterns such as Crescent, L-shaped, and Random. Learners then advance to guided and independent single-row repair cases, practicing diagnostic exams, portal setup, anchor placement, and suture passage following the Copernicus methodology. The training concludes with double-row repair cases emphasizing knotless suture management, tendon piercing, and medial-lateral anchor fixation. Through progressive, realistic practice, trainees gain full proficiency in rotator cuff repair techniques and safe, efficient instrument handling.

Bankart repair module

The Bankart Repair module trains trainees in performing an arthroscopic Bankart repair for anterior shoulder instability, from diagnostic arthroscopy and portal establishment to labrum and glenoid rim preparation, anchor placement, and a complete three-anchor knotless repair with suture management. Developed with the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and aligned with the Copernicus curriculum, the module offers Practice cases with guided steps and highlighted anatomy for learning each phase of the repair, and Master cases requiring independent execution of diagnostic and therapeutic steps. Through progressive training, participants learn to identify and treat labral detachments, perform the full knotless repair safely and efficiently, and demonstrate proficiency in instrument handling and anatomical precision.
