Benjamin plays a key role in helping our development team grow, including scale-up of agile development methods. Benjamin was the first VirtaMed employee as he joined the company in August 2008, and since then he has become the technical lead for VirtaMed ArthroS™, created a fully customizable user interface and worked on framework development.
Benjamin studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at ETH Zurich, and he wrote his Master's thesis on medical visualization at Harvard University. He worked on numerous projects for our hysteroscopy simulator already during his Master program. His interest in interactive 3D simulations started with the development of orxonox.net, a project where he guided and supervised several groups of students in a practical course at ETH Zurich.
To counterbalance the long days in front of a computer monitor, Benjamin airs his brain by excessive mountain biking, swimming, running, and triathlon training.
