The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) aims to advance minimally invasive gynecology.

From November 6-10, 2011, the AAGL 40th Global Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynecology took place in Florida, USA. The conference included presentations, a large industry exhibition and of course hands-on training courses.

The companies Conceptus, Smith & Nephew, Hologic, Richard Wolf and Simbionix showcased different VirtaMed simulators and thus offered a realistic training setup without animal models or cadavers.
