From Oct 27 - Oct 31, 2009, the Essure® simulation system was presented for the first time at the Congress of the ESGE.

Based on the HystSim, Virtamed developed a training module for the Essure® permanent birth control system by Conceptus, Inc. A first training course has been organized by Conceptus and Virtamed at the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy Congress in Florence (www.esge.org). Over 160 surgeons practised their skills on this new training module at the booth of Conceptus.

The HystSim simulator was shown as well at the booth of ETHICON and Simbionix (www.simbionix.com).
